Material Handler II

We are looking for a Material Handler II who will act as a lead for junior level warehouse employees and perform tasks coordinating activities with other storeroom leads, with the customer sales representatives, and with Service to ensure prioritization of order processing and shipment of goods to outside Customers. This role also includes tactical, day-to-day tasks such as cycle counts, issuing materials from the stockroom, participating in physical inventory, pulling kits to fulfill work orders and shipping/receiving responsibilities using the MRP system as well as Windows office and shipping software. Individuals in this role are expected to support the safety protocols and make suggestions to improve inventory accuracy and order processing efficiency. Specific Job Responsibilities:
Demonstrate good communication skills, the ability to coordinate activities and resolve problems between cross-functional teams, work well with others, and demonstrate strong analytical skills to manage interdependent processes and make process improvement recommendations. Perform routine and exceptional material handling activities such as pulling kits, issuing materials, and actively providing support for material requests, receiving, returns, filling shortages, and customer pulls. Perform ongoing warehouse and stockroom maintenance through parts rotation, stocking, pre-bagging, and pre-packing of finished goods. Ensure material accuracy through cycle counts, identifying and reporting inventory errors, and following good inventory practices. Provides additional support through data entry, audits and error validations. Reconcile counting errors, stockroom mis-pulls and mis-shipments. As errors are identified, work with supervision and management to identify root-causes of those errors and recommend improvements. Train and coach new team members in specific areas or processes. Be crossed trained in stockroom, shipping and receiving roles to be a resource for backfilling and load-sharing. Work effectively and within PMS safety protocols while completing assigned tasks. Coordinate with production, customer service, and production teams to ensure on time delivery of customer order shipments. Effectively collaborate with internal customers and suppliers to provide excellent customer service. Process material requisitions and return part transactions. Serve as a resource to junior members of the team; applying judgement to ensure inventory accuracy and security. Will operate forklift as needed (training provided). Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
Three years of related experience in a manufacturing/shipping environment required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions independently. Excellent communication skills. Works well with cross-functional teams. Strong attention to detail. Customer service oriented. Eagerness and willingness to learn new processes and skills or earn relevant certifications. Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly. The Nuts and Bolts
Location This is an "in-office" position 100% of the time. The location of this position is in Boulder, CO. The schedule for this position is 7:30am 4pm M-F Particle Measuring Systems determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for the Boulder, Colorado area. We will evaluate external equity, which is the relative marketplace job worth of jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. For new hires, we make competitive offers between the minimum and around the midpoint of the range. This allows the new employee room for future merit increases during review cycles. There may be times when we will offer above the midpoint. The decision to do so will be based on the applicant's level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and the compensation rates of the employees within the company doing the same position.
