Rail Loader

This position is responsible for loading and unloading of rail cars at off site and factory yards. The Rail Loader responsibilities consist of identifying vehicles to be loaded, moving them to and into the rail cars. Rail Loaders will set the hand brakes on all rail cars. Once vehicles are loaded on the rail cars, Rail Loaders will properly installing the chocks on vehicles and apply the seals on the rail car doors once the doors are shut. After completing the above the Rail Loaders will release the hand brakes on the Rail Cars. Position Responsibilities: Loading and unloading vehicles from rail cars. Ensuring vehicles are properly parked and secured on the rail cars. Applying seals appropriately to rail cars. Identify and report potential day-to-day operational quality issues and potential improvements. Qualifications: Education: Prefer High School Diploma or GED. Training: Training will be provided on the job. Skills: Basic driving skills. On the job the employee must: Have natural or corrected eyesight capable of driving vehicles into and out of a rail car. Have normal range of hearing, or corrected hearing, to be able to respond to normal workplace sounds including approaching vehicles.
