Material Handler
Adecco is recruiting for a Material Handler to fill a 4-month assignment with our client in Girard Ohio. Pay: $19-$20 per hour. Main tasks include handling raw material throughout the production facility, receiving material, checking the material against the picklist for correct part numbers and quantity, and packing the shipment to the correct method of shipment. You will also help with packing material per the routers and putting the material into finished goods stock. You will be performing tasks in the ERP system (SAP) and other shipping sites. This position will also be required to learn additional areas of our logistics department. Individual tasks include: thoroughly checking and receiving in raw material from vendors, putting away raw material into the stockroom in an organized and efficient manner using equipment such as scales, pallet jack, forklift, and others, pulling finished assemblies for delivery of goods, packaging and storing finished good materials in accordance with written instructions, shipping material to customers per customer requirement, supplying production material using various strategies (automated, manual, Kanban, etc.), supporting inventory accuracy initiatives, proper packaging and storing finished good materials, assembling kits of materials using Bills of Materials, pulling finished assemblies for delivery of goods, and assisting in the loading/unloading of trucks. Perform various activities using our ERP SAP system. Requirements/challenges include: minimum 1-3+ years' experience, ability to lift a minimum of up to 50 lbs., ability to stand/walk for 7+ hours per shift, ability to read and interpret a Bill of Material, minimum high school diploma or equivalent, overtime as per company requirements. Special knowledge/skills include: forklift experience a plus, but not required, ability to use digital scales to measure small parts quantities, strong computer skills (ERP/MRP system, SAP knowledge preferred), and basic math skills and strong problem-solving skills required. Pay details: $19.00 to $20.00 per hour.
