We are hiring an IT Business Analyst for one of our clients in the energy and utilities industry. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for technology, strong interest in project management, and a desire to grow within an Agile environment.
Job Summary
The Business Analyst will work directly with data scientists, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure IT and AI initiatives stay aligned with business goals. This position plays a key role in project tracking, Agile ceremonies, and facilitating communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in Data Science and AI project meetings with business and technical stakeholders.
Maintain and manage Azure DevOps (ADO) boards, ensuring accurate ticket updates.
Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and capture detailed meeting notes, risks, and blockers.
Create documentation and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Translate business needs into clear documentation and actionable tasks.
Gather and document business requirements, support task prioritization, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Support Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Monitor project timelines and deliverables, identifying and mitigating risks.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Foundational understanding of AI/ML concepts and IT systems or data analytics.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project lifecycle.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, and Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar tools.
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Adaptability and resilience in a changing environment.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Basic knowledge of data pipelines and machine learning workflows.
Coursework or experience in project management.
