Kirby . Stewart & Stevenson is now hiring a Compressor Shop Technician III at 1631 Chalk Hill Road, Dallas, TX 75212. Responsibilities: Diagnose problems and perform complex or major mechanical repairs on customer equipment, including trucks, buses, engines, and components. Order parts necessary for repairs and routine maintenance. Perform repairs, replace parts, and conduct routine maintenance following established guidelines and schedules. Complete work orders and time sheets accurately and promptly. Assist lower-level technicians and maintain a clean, safe work environment. Work in the shop and field as required. Have experience and tools for troubleshooting and repairing portable and stationary compressors, electric-motor, and diesel-engine driven. Read electrical wiring diagrams, pneumatic schematics, and repair publications. Work with various compressor brands, including Atlas Copco, Sullair, and Doosan. Work independently with good organization, attention to detail, and communication skills. Qualifications: Dependability and trustworthiness. Effective time management and communication skills. Customer service orientation. Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED, with 3-7 years of related experience. Computer Skills:
Basic navigation; proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred. Certificates & Licenses:
Technical certification in automotive or diesel engine repair required. Other Requirements:
Use of laptops and diagnostic tools. Physical Activities & Requirements:
Visual acuity, sense of smell and touch, PPE usage. Working Conditions:
Outdoor and shop environments, possibly without air conditioning. Seniority level
