Material Handler Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Material Handler to join our team. The role involves performing daily shipping and receiving activities, preparing products for shipment, and organizing the warehouse, including conducting inventory and cycle counts. The position offers multiple shifts: 1st shift (7:00 am to 3:00 pm), 2nd shift (3:00 pm to 11:00 pm), and 3rd shift (11:00 pm to 7:00 am). Responsibilities: Perform daily shipping activities. Prepare products for shipment. Assist in organizing the warehouse, including inventory and cycle counts. Label and relabel products as needed. Operate mobile equipment, tow motors, and forklifts. Perform daily receiving and subcontracting activities. Complete necessary documentation. Prepare outgoing shipments via UPS and FedEx. Perform basic mathematical calculations. Follow and understand written and verbal instructions. Read and interpret written instructions. Maintain accurate records. Essential Skills: Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Ability to stand for 8+ hours a day. Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Ability to follow and understand written and verbal instructions. Record-keeping skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Tow motor and forklift experience preferred. Experience in material handling, inventory, production, and warehouse operations. Proficiency with RF scanners, loading, packaging, pallet jacks, sit-down forklifts, order picking, shipping and receiving, reach truck, and forklift operating. Why Work Here?
