Title: Mail Services Associate Job Family: Admin/Operations Location: WA079-Redmond - One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA (In-Person) Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Assignment Duration: 3 months with possibility of extension. Potential to convert to FTE. Background Package: Standard - No Drug Test. Microsoft - must be through HireRight. Interview Process: In-person at 4200 150th Ave NE, 30 minutes. Security consideration: This role involves standing for the majority of the day and a lifting component up to 50 lbs. Work with the client shipping center. Take passport photos. Process outgoing shipments using FedEx (US Government Client) and UPS. Use the mailing system for outbound shipments and tracking. Candidates with prior similar experience are preferred. Position requires standing for most of the day; lifting up to 50 lbs as needed.
Minimum Requirements
Years of Experience: True entry level no experience required; 1+ year in a mailing role or as a notary preferred. Level of Education: High School Diploma Systems/Software Proficiencies: Microsoft Office Suite Certifications/Licenses: N/A Must Have Skills
Dependable, hardworking, self-starter, strong communicator, and ready to learn. Nice to Have Skills
Notary and/or lithium battery certification would be a top asset. Prior mailing experience is also valued. Physical & Driving Requirements
Physical ability to assist with warehouse operations; able to lift up to 50 lbs. Position may require operating a motor vehicle and a valid California Driver's Licence. Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure all shipped packages are adequately protected against damage. Process shipment requests with vendors, advising package owner of arrangements. Apply appropriate postage and required identification to outgoing mail and packages. May perform other duties such as monitoring online production/copy requests, setting up conference rooms for client meetings, and answering phones professionally, directing calls, and taking messages.
Qualifications External
High School diploma or GED; 1-2 years related experience in warehouse, shipping and receiving. Skills: Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, write routine reports, respond to inquiries, and present information to internal departments or groups. Comfortable meeting and engaging with new people; warm and engaging demeanor. Basic financial terms knowledge; basic numerical calculations. Technical: Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite, handheld mobile devices, and related applications; ability to record materials received and shipped in computer systems. Safety
Complete required HSE training; follow all safety policies and procedures; participate in HSE programs; report unsafe conditions and stop work if required. Maintain PPE; use proper material handling techniques; operate warehouse equipment only if trained and authorized. Summary
