Accountable for theteam’s overall safety, quality, productivity, performance, customer service and processimprovements. Works closely with other department team leads and management to ensure dailyobjectives are met with assigned team. This employee will maintain the materials in thewarehouse in an organized fashion with part numbers on all products, pull and stage jobs asassigned per the production schedule. Inventory accuracy is the highest priority for this roleexcept for safety which is the only activity thatoutweighs accuracy.How you will do it:All of the responsibilities and functions as detailed in the Material Handler I & II job descriptions.Have complete familiarity of all job functions in Receiving and Warehouse operations.Trained and certified in the use of all of the Material Handling equipment throughout the manufacturing operation including forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, stand-ups, etc.Able to access the ERP system and perform inventory transactions and inquiries within the system.Utilizing the ERP system, determine by part number, quantity of material on hand by location.Able to research inventory discrepancies by reviewing transaction history of material movement.Understands how and why the Quarantine location exists and how to use it.Performs job tasks in a manner that reflects behavior complimentary to the JCI LEM program.Is a steward of all safety rules, regulations and guidelines.Assist WH Supervisor to oversee all activities and processes related to parts packing including pre-packing, crating, staging and kitting. Ensure all parts are adequately packed and labeled.What we look for:Requires a high school diploma/GED. Some training and/or supervisory experience highly desired.Excellent communication & interpersonal skills. Ability to lead change in a team environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Collaborative style as well as the ability to work cross functionally.Previous warehouse experience is required.Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) as well as Internet software and E-mail is required.WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
