Wakefield is one of the largest production facilities within Michael Foods, serving as a flex plant capable of producing everything from pasteurized eggs to liquid, dried, hardboiled, and curds. Responsibilities Ensure overall equipment cleanliness and sanitation of the department. Manage daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation schedules. Conduct daily pre-op inspections. Follow daily production start-up procedures. Be cross-trained in two sanitation jobs. Report equipment or mechanical issues. Participate in team inspections of the area. Report any conditions affecting food safety, quality, or safety. Replace gaskets and ensure room compliance. Work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Work independently and as part of a team. Maintain a safe and healthy workplace, adhering to safety policies. Follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions, and report any food safety concerns. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Less than high school education. Ability to read simple words and recognize similarities/differences in words and numbers. Good communication skills. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers. Capable of understanding and following oral instructions. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Work effectively with others and independently. Open to change and positive interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and responsible at work. Physical Requirements Lift up to 75 lbs safely. Work in cold, wet, noisy, dusty, and humid environments. Ability to stop, bend, and stand for most of the shift. Work with chemicals safely.
