Spincraft WI consists of two facilities located near Milwaukee in New Berlin, Wisconsin. This location has notably been a long-time major supplier of turbine components and assemblies for the energy and oil & gas markets. The business has since expanded to innovative solutions within the Aviation, Space and Defense sectors. Some of these turnkey solutions include the next generation of commercial and military aircraft, critical defense systems, and more.Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Inspector is responsible for inspecting raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet specified standards and meet customer requirements. This role uses a variety of inspection tools and techniques to identify defects and document results, supporting continuous quality improvement in the manufacturing process.What You'll DoTechnical Job Performs inspections, as well as In- Process and Final inspections of parts and assemblies in accordance with applicable Engineering criteria, documents, drawings and workmanship standards and documents any nonconformance. Reviews job routing, quality log requirements and interprets sketches to determine dimensions and tolerance specifications for features requiring inspection Reads and interprets work orders, blueprints, and specifications to determine machine setup, type of material or part, quantity, and finish dimensions Inspect product for surface defects, such as scratches, dents, cracks, workmanship and weld quality Assemble, operate, and program the coordinate measuring machine (CMM), FARO Arm and scanning equipment Performs standard operations for established programs on the coordinate measuring machine (CMM), FARO Arm, and scanning equipment Uses a variety of common inspection tools (OD&ID micrometers, calipers, pi tapes, thread gages, point mics, profilometers,) to verify sketch/print dimensions of components May act as customer liaison for Source inspection activities Assists Engineering and Operations in the investigation of non-conformities Performs preventive maintenance on inspection equipment Trim, sand, and drill parts, and deburr parts when required Load and unload parts into inspection gages to verify and document conformance Works closely with Engineering and office staff to troubleshoot process and problems and give recommendations on new and existing products and machines Assists engineering in the implementation, creation, and maintenance of PCS (Process Control Sheets) defining process/set-up/operation of machine Defining machine variables/parameters Coordinates calibration activities and maintain records of various tools, instruments and gauges used for Product acceptance or Verification/Validation. Documents actions by completing production and quality logs as needed Accomplishes organization goals by actively exploring opportunities to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. (SQDC) Trains others by openly sharing information, knowledge and expertise with the team Attends meetings, audits and trainings as assigned

Safety Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations Complies with all company rules including company safety policy and all federal, state, local, and other safety regulations and practices Uses personal protective equipment and devices provided for machinery, equipment, tools and processes, when defined in PCS, Company Safety Policy, Job Safety Analysis or Management direction Reports all unsafe conditions, accidents and injuries immediately to management

Housekeeping Actively participates in 6S and lean activities as outlined by the Company Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following Company instructions Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs Stores and maintains tools, equipment and gauges as defined by company standards Keeps work area clean and organized to company standards/expectations Daily cleaning and sweeping of work area, tools and equipment Empty of trash and waste as needed Personal items removed from workstations

What You'll Bring High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required Minimum 5+ years proven experience in inspection or quality. Certified by the American Society for Quality Control (ASQC) as a Mechanical Inspector or higher is required Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods Comfortable working in environments with noise, heat, or dust Regularly required to move, sit, and bend for various hours throughout the day
