Inspector - 3rd Shift
Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking an Inspector - 3rd Shift. The hours for this role are 11pm-7am. The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 + 10% shift differential per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you'll do: The Inspector is responsible for receiving, in-process, final, and/or delegated source inspection for welded, machined, and formed parts ensuring Eaton is manufacturing parts that meet internal, customer, and industry requirements. Essential Functions: Visually and manually inspect manufactured parts per acceptance criteria and process work orders as completed. Interpret advanced blueprints, assembly drawings, angularity, profile, various datum's (Vectors) and results from advanced inspection and measuring technique (CMM, Keyence, FARO arm) per acceptance criteria. Document inspection findings, generate non-conformance reports, and initiate Fast Response as needed. Complete 5S+ activities which includes but not limited to your working area. Complete regular training, facilitate training, maintain certifications, and perform additional Quality specific functions as necessary. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of quality experience in the Aerospace industry Skills: Position Criteria: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications, inspection specifications, GD&T, and use measuring equipment including calipers, measuring scale, pi tape, CMM, etc. Ability to work with MFGPro to process parts systematically and WISPER for defective material reports (DMR). Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, such as Excel. Attention to detail and be able to follow instructions. Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute percentages, area, circumference, and volume; draw and interpret bar graphs. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures and equipment, manufacturing methods, routings, and standards. Ability to understand, read, and write English language. Basic knowledge of welding and coatings. Knowledge of inspection plans and first article inspection. Work Conditions: Manufacturing environment which requires proper personal protection equipment (PPE). Possible exposure to radiation using a XRF device for scanning material. May be in contact with dust or fumes. Inspector must be able to lift up to 35lbs in any given day, constantly handling parts in and out of the workstation (occasionally reaching overhead). The job could require standing on your feet anywhere from 8-10 hours a day. Will require focus visual inspection from proximity, without magnification.
