Material Handler II
We are currently looking for a Material Handler to be based out of Thomasville, GA. Reporting to the Shift Lead, the Material Handler will be responsible for packing finished goods, monitor products for defects, assist in the start up or changeover of products and keep work area clean and organized. Material Handler's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Bundle pipe according to inventory and shipping specifications Update Hour by Hour boards and compare colors, shapes, textures or grades of products or material with templates or samples to verify conformance to quality standards Operate and observe machinery during production, assist with Quality Control duties utilizing quality tools Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to achieve productivity and site goals Adhere to all safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions immediately What you'll bring: High School diploma or equivalent Machine operation or mechanical skill set experience Knowledge of manufacturing processes desired Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted Within 3 months, you'll: Complete any required training Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role Be well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations Atkore is a five-time Great Place to Work certified company and a three-time Top Workplaces USA award winner! Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
