This is a working lead position. This position is responsible for the work direction of the sanitation crew, as well as the cleaning and sanitizing of production areas, and production processing equipment. Job Responsibilities
1. Follow all Personal and Food Safety precautions: Personal Protective Equipment, Lockout/Tagout, GMPs, follow Plant Color Code for Buckets, Brushes, etc. 2. Train and provide work direction of sanitation crew. 3. Optimize efficiencies and effectiveness of personal performance. 4. Prepare and mix chemicals according to SSOP directions and test for accuracy using titration method. 5. Be able to use chemicals in a safe manner. 6. Required to participate in training by chemical supply company. 7. Participate in all plant wide training classes. 8. Reviews sanitation pre-op for results from QA Tech's regarding the nightly cleaning of equipment and passing / non-passing of ATP swabs. Works with sanitor responsible for cleaning such equipment. 9. Assist other employees as needed to complete assigned tasks. 10. Dismantle, protect as needed, and clean packaging and processing lines and equipment according to SSOP and master sanitation schedule. 11. Reassemble and test run equipment after cleaning in preparation for the next shift's production. 12. Perform sanitation inspection on processing lines/equipment. 13. Communicate with Production, and FSQ Manager or designee regarding sanitation issues. 14. Communicate with Maintenance Supervisor on any maintenance related issues. 15. Performs inventory counts of sanitation chemicals weekly and records on weekly inventory sheet. 16. Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety. 17. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. 18. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
EDUCATION: No prior experience or training. EXPERIENCE: Requires one (1) year of experience focused on sanitation. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply an understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS: Food Handler's Permit, Clark County Health Department Forklift Operator Training. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to Read, Write and Speak English. The pay range for this position is $18.50 to $22.50 per hour.
