Material Handler II
A Material Handler II will complete duties as needed within the department with the primary responsibility of processing customer orders for shipment. Daily contact will be with inventory personnel, materials buyers and planners, expediter, master scheduler, quality control, management staff, carriers, and corporate personnel. Job Responsibilities
Processes customer shipments and manual shipments (B-tickets) Analyzes order HOLDs and communicates with customer service Analyzes inventory availability for shipments (location & quantity) Releases sales orders to pick status Monitors sales orders picked but not shipped Maintains shipping records per the Emerson record retention policy Coordinates freight schedules for small package, will call, LTL, and TL Follows up on customer orders allocated but not picked with appropriate personnel Provides shipping documents to customer service as requested Acts as a liaison between customer service and shipping activities, coordinating weights & dims, shipping methods, etc. Requests/Creates commercial invoices for international shipments as needed Monitors shipping supplies Assists with Material Handling responsibilities as needed Performs other duties as assigned Works overtime as required Required Qualifications, Education, Skills and/or Experience
High School diploma or GED or, relevant work experience Previous shipping/material handling experience Expert experience/knowledge of computer programs: Microsoft Office Effective communication skills: verbal and written (English) Follow written and/or oral instructions in English Able to lift parts weighing in excess of 50 pounds (assistance when needed) and to work in bending, squatting, and standing positions (includes working off ladders) for long periods of time (in excess of one hour) Pass forklift certifications and requirements to operate forklifts Preferred Qualifications, Education, Skills and/or Experience
Associates degree Previous experience with Oracle Experience working with bills of materials
