Operations Research Systems Analyst (ORSA) / Level 2
Orlando, Florida Lockheed Martin is seeking an Operations Research and Systems Analyst (ORSA) to work in a dynamic and challenging environment. We are seeking candidates who can use rational, systematic, science-based techniques, advanced analytical methods, and critical thinking to inform and improve decision-making for complex processes or systems. In addition, candidates are required to have a working knowledge of ORSA concepts, analytic techniques, and methodologies such as mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, mathematical optimization, simulation, stochastic-process models, expert systems, decision analysis, and cyber experience. Responsibilities include: Conduct problem identification and requirements analysis Develop risk reduction strategies / mitigation plans Fully document existing processes, project improvements, and analytical results Develop and document advanced analytical methods (i.e. data mining, statistical analysis, and mathematical models) to improve analytic tradecraft Apply decision analysis methods to evaluate current and future programs Conduct analysis, organize data, and provide overall ORSA support to line of business programs Develop threat, risk and mitigation models Develop framework for and perform prioritization of tools, data, and processes Research and document process workflows and data flows Develop predictive analysis methods Simulate the flow of data or events through analytic process workflows to identify process or resource constraints Participate in team building research efforts and sharing of analytical techniques and research methodologies. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree from an accredited college in Operations Research, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Management Science, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math; and/or equivalent experience. Experience in computer-based analytical tools and office applications (especially MS Office suite). Proficient in at least one computer programming language. Knowledge and experience in preparing and delivering oral and written presentations. Desired Skills: Advanced Degree from an accredited college in Operations Research, Operations Analysis, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math. Knowledge of military operations, tactics, and organizations; operational or analytical experience. Detailed knowledge of Mathematics, Statistics, Design of Experiments, Physics, or Engineering. Modeling and simulation experience, especially AFSIM. Experience/knowledge of major combat simulations and models. Knowledge/experience in computer programming, such as designing/building applications, modules and/or graphical user interfaces (GUIs) using languages such as C++, Fortran, Visual Basic, MATLAB, etc.; the Linux operating system. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $67,400 - $129,300.
