Job Summary: MedStar Health is seeking an
Environmental Support Associate
to join our team at
Good Samaritan Hospital . As an
Environmental Support Associate , you will perform various cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways, and other areas within the hospital and satellite locations. Responsibilities include using floor care equipment, setting up for meetings, moving furniture, and hanging/removing curtains. Change and hang drapes, curtains, and cubicle curtains. Clean and disinfect furniture, equipment, wheelchairs, shower chairs, over-bed stands, etc. Clean locker rooms, toilets, restrooms, and washrooms; replenish soap, towels, and toilet tissues. Dust, clean, scrub, disinfect, and polish furniture, walls, woodwork, windowsills, fans, vents, blinds, radiators, air conditioners, mirrors, lamps, tiles, and bathroom fixtures. Clean windows and door frames using a ladder as needed. Collect and dispose of soiled linen, trash, and waste; replace trash liners. Respond to spill cleanup requests and address special cleaning needs. Maintain infection control by following proper cleaning and sanitizing procedures. Obey hazard signs. Keep equipment in good condition through routine maintenance. Use supplies properly and report hazardous or malfunctioning equipment immediately. Report issues like dripping faucets, clogged drains, broken windows, etc. Perform discharge cleaning of patient and resident rooms, preparing rooms for new occupants and following isolation procedures in designated rooms. Conduct routine cleaning of resident rooms, nursing stations, hallways, public areas, activity rooms, and utility rooms. Set up and break down furniture for events. Move and relocate heavy objects as required. Use scrubbers, buffers, floor cleaners, wet vacs, polishers, vacuums, and mops to clean floors, halls, stairways, and public areas. Buff, strip, wax, and polish floors. Vacuum and shampoo furniture and carpets. Qualifications:
Ability to read, write, and perform arithmetic calculations. This position offers a hiring range of $17.50 - $28.73. #J-18808-Ljbffr
