Cmm Inspector In Saint Paul
This position requires the individual to perform first article, in-process, receiving, and final inspections. Additionally, the inspector will support in training two other inspectors on the shift. The role involves operating a CMM machine, a MicroVu, and an OGP Smartscope for part inspections. Blueprint reading and understanding of GD&T is essential to perform inspections. While most CMM work involves calling up pre-written programs, the inspector may need to edit these programs if component changes occur. Documenting work within a QMS system and on paper travelers is also required. Complete first article, in-process, receiving, and final inspections. Operate CMM machine, MicroVu, and OGP Smartscope for part inspections. Train and support two other inspectors on the shift. Read blueprints and apply GD&T principles. Edit CMM programs as needed. Document inspection work within QMS and on paper travelers. 2+ years of experience with CMM inspection. Proficiency in reading blueprints and applying GD&T principles. Familiarity with SPC, root cause analysis, and inspection documentation. Skilled in using additional inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and pin gauges.
