COMSEC Specialist II

Chronos Operations, LLC is seeking a COMSEC Specialist II to support the secure management, accountability, and distribution of Communications Security (COMSEC) materials and devices in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD and Department of Army (DA) directives. Responsibilities include: Oversee security and destruction of COMSEC materials. Maintain COMSEC materials and equipment. Train personnel in proper handling and security of equipment. Write training documentation that aligns with COMSEC policies. Maintain accurate accountability records using COMSEC tracking tools. Support periodic audits and inspections to ensure compliance with DoD and Army COMSEC regulations. Perform custodial duties under the supervision of a senior COMSEC custodian, ensuring secure handling and documentation. Coordinate with internal teams to support secure communications. Maintain physical security of COMSEC assets and ensure proper storage procedures are followed. Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to leadership. Assist in incident response activities involving potential compromise of COMSEC material. Stay current with updates to COMSEC policies, procedures, and technologies. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications include: Associate's degree in computer science, Engineering, Cyber Security or equivalent experience in lieu of degree. 3+ years of experience in COMSEC, including accountability systems. Must have active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS with SCI eligibility. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Working knowledge of DoD and Army COMSEC policies. Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills Familiarity with COMSEC accountability systems. Understanding of secure communications devices and cryptographic operations. Proficiency in COMSEC documentation and reporting tools. Analytical and strong organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written ability. Good work ethic and active desire to learn. Skillful time management and organizational skills to set and meet deadlines. Ability to work both independently and within a team. Ability to work effectively in a team environment to encourage collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Ability to meet minimum clearance requirements. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Ability to travel up to 10%.
