Quality Control Inspector

The Quality Control Inspector will perform inspection of electronic components, sheet metal fabricated items, printed circuit boards and hardware to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Essential duties and responsibilities include: Perform inspections on first article, incoming, in-process and final products by confirming product meets applicable IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and IPC J-STD-001 workmanship standards, internal requirements, and customer documents, such as assembly drawings and bill-of-materials (BOM) Perform AOI inspection for accurate, consistent detection of SMT paste, component placement and solder joint defects Conduct visual and measurement tests Document and communicate rejections of unacceptable items as required in a timely manner Maintain accurate records of inspections Generate interdepartmental forms/reports such as corrective action reports, scrap reports, non-conformance reports and any other required quality records Perform internal manufacturing process audits as directed by the Quality Manager Interact with the purchasing department around non-conforming product dispositions Assist with receiving and stockroom functions to include the receipt, stocking and pulling of material Qualifications: High school diploma or general education (GED) is required 1-3 years of related inspection experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. Required/preferred skills: Knowledge of ISO9001 quality management system is preferred Knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and IPC J-STD-001 workmanship standards Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to read and/or interpret rough schematics, complex drawings, wiring diagrams, verbal instructions, and BOMs Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements are met Prior experience working with an ERP system is required, experience using Epicoris a plus Strong attention to detail is required Benefits: Five (5) weeks PTO per year Eight (8) paid holidays per year 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with employer match Medical/Dental/Vision coverage (first of the month following hire date) HSA & FSA Plans (with HSA employer contribution) Company-paid life insurance Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and use of vision Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus The employee frequently is required to walk and sit; occasionally required to stand Employee must have use of hands and arms to reach overhead, finger, handle or feel The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds Environment conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to hazards (chemical, mechanical and/or radiant energy) Employee will be required to wear protective equipment such as lab coat and heel straps All of the work will be performed indoors The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet The employee may rarely be asked to travel on business ACDi is an Equal Opportunity employer.
