Primary Objective: Operates a variety of equipment and performs manual functions to maintain machines, mechanical equipment or structures while participating in hands-on learning. Major Function and Scope: Complies with all company safety rules and procedures. Performs work to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or structures in repair. Services, repairs, adjusts, and tests machines and other equipment. Performs maintenance functions and optimization projects on high precision manufacturing and handling equipment. Identifies warning signs of impending equipment failure. Assists with preventative maintenance tasks. Attends any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision. Follows all established standard operating procedures. Performs general housekeeping duties as necessary. Performs other tasks assigned by management. Type of Experience and Knowledge: High school diploma or equivalent required. Competencies: Describe the specific skills required for this position in terms of technical, managerial, interpersonal skills and unique abilities. Computer skills. Attention to detail. Physical Requirements / Other Pertinent Job Information: This position requires the team member to work with machinery in an environment where there may be regular exposure to chemicals, noise from machinery, dust, fumes and variable temperatures. Other working conditions may include working long hours and flexible shifts, including holidays. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.; bending, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs are required.
