Duties and Responsibilities: Technicians will need strong troubleshooting skills and understand pneumatics, industrial electrical, controls systems and mechanical processes Perform routine and specialized maintenance on of highly automated, state of the art glass production equipment. Equipment includes: Tempering furnace Automated cutting system Automated insulating equipment Spacer forming and assembly equipment Preventative maintenance on production and assembly equipment Basic electrical and mechanical understanding Maintaining the appropriate records by recording work orders using CMMS Promptly requesting machine parts by filling out purchase requisitions This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management deem necessary from time to time. Qualifications: A two-year degree or equivalent experience in a maintenance related field is preferred Must have ability to troubleshoot and repair with strong mechanical aptitude Physically capable of manual labor including standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment Pay: Starting Base Pay: $29.00 90-day increase: $1.50 (Maintenance Tech Level 1) Must show basic Mx Tech skillset by this point Possible Premiums: $3 - Postsecondary degree/diploma in a related field (available at hire) $2 - Maintenance Tech Level 2 (available after 3yr anniversary + evaluation) $4 - Maintenance Tech Level 3 (available after 5yr anniversary + evaluation) Mx Tech Level 3 will not be easy to achieve and will require significant knowledge of Cardinal IG policies, procedures, and repair techniques related to the techs department. Maximum Pay: $39.50 (Maintenance Tech Level 3 completion + degree/diploma in related field) Evaluations will be based on quality of WOs completed (reviewed by Mx/Eng Leadership) and level of tasks the tech is able to complete along with potential independent testing through Western Technical College.
