Description
Job Summary
The Anodizing Racker is responsible for preparing and loading aluminum parts onto racks for anodizing, ensuring proper placement for coating, and unloading and inspecting finished products. This role plays a key part in the quality and efficiency of the anodizing process.
Key Responsibilities Rack Setup and Maintenance
- Adjusts rack configurations to accommodate various part sizes and batches; uses hand tools to secure connections and ensure proper electrical contact. Estimated Time: 25% Loading Aluminum Parts
- Hangs aluminum parts on racks with attention to maximizing rack capacity and proper spacing for even anodizing coverage. Estimated Time: 45% Unloading and Inspection
- Unloads finished parts, inspects for coating quality, and prepares them for the next stage by lining receiving racks and stacking items appropriately. Estimated Time: 30% Workplace Safety and Housekeeping
- Follows all safety procedures and reports unsafe conditions; maintains a clean and organized work area. Required PPE Ear plugs Safety glasses Long pants Protective sleeves Steel-toed shoes (reimbursed after probationary period, per company policy) Qualifications Ability to perform physical work in a manufacturing environment Mechanical aptitude preferred Previous experience in a labor-intensive or industrial setting a plus

Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and handling materials Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; team or forklift assistance required for heavier items Regular exposure to heat, humidity, and loud noise Requires close and color vision for quality inspection Work Environment Industrial plant setting with exposure to moving machinery, chemicals, and airborne particles Must wear hearing protection and other PPE at all times Work involves standing and moving for most of the shift in a non-climate-controlled environment
