The Materials Coordinator reports to the Materials Manager and is responsible for the sourcing and coordinating the logistics of all critical part requirements, time change components, and helps to minimize stock outages. Manage the base buy guide, coordinate current and future needs that best support TechOps requirements while operating within budgetary requirements. This entails sourcing aircraft parts, transfer of parts, initiating purchase orders and borrow agreements, exchange orders, and expediting existing orders. Responsibilities

1. Coordinate all urgent material requirements AOG, MEL, NEF, and Scheduled removal materials requirements with Maintenance Support Center (MSC) to ensure parts are available to support maintenance schedule: Coordinate and expedite transfer of parts. Expedite open purchase orders. Create borrow and rental orders. Track and control all loaned and borrowed parts. Establish a process flow that moves inventory to meet all maintenance requirements. Manage our contractual agreements to ensure cores and loaners are returned within the required time frame. 2. Follow up to ensure supplier and delivery commitments are met: Ensure unserviceable material is returned to our partner within the allotted time to avoid penalties. Develop process that expedites repair orders, update records, eliminates waste, and tracks the component from aircraft removal to AMOS update, & transportation to our partner. Manage agreements to ensure compliance. Establish KPI that track our performance, identifies areas of improvement, and measures cost efficiencies. 3. Ensure the most effective shipping strategies are in place to expedite the delivery of parts and lower the cost of transportation and increase efficiency within immaterial services: Monitor the market for competitiveness. Ensure our shipping methods meet our needs. Utilize our network to equalize stock to support TechOps requirements. Minimize AOG & expedite fees. Minimize priority, next day, and hot shot shipments. 4. Monitor current stock levels and usages, to determine the necessity of requests: Collaborate with MX, & Planning to develop a forecasting model. Use pre-pick process to establish kits for nightly maintenance requirements. 5. Identify opportunities for cost savings and service improvements: Review market for PMA opportunities. Monitor supplier and review market for competitiveness. 6. Ensure productivity, safety, and quality goals are achieved through a process of continuous improvement: Achieve performance measures within budgetary restraints. Requirements

College degree preferred - Experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree. 3+ years of experience in airline/aviation materials handling. 2+ years of purchasing experience and/or inventory planning and logistics. Previous experience with sourcing and managing materials for AOG events. General understanding of FAA regulations including FAR part 121 operations. Must be able to pass a ten-year background check and obtain an airport security badge. Must possess a valid state issued driver's license and have an acceptable driving record. High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility. Self-initiative and ability to work independently with little supervision. Excellent organizational skills and time management. Must be able to work 12-hour shifts (4 days on and 4 days off).
