Patient Driver Position

Conveniently located in northern Sacramento, Heritage Oaks is a fully accredited, 125-bed acute psychiatric hospital offering a full range of individually tailored treatment services to adolescents, adults, and senior adults, including treatment for substance abuse and chemical dependency issues with drugs and alcohol. Heritage Oaks is a Medicare provider in addition to contracts with most commercial health insurance plans. We are committed to providing service excellence to all and ensuring our patients receive the optimal level of care that will be most beneficial to their health and recovery. Heritage Oaks Hospital is currently looking for a patient driver to join our transportation team! This position provides transportation of patients to and from the facility providing continuous observation, interaction, and role modeling to the patients while maintaining safety at all times. Provide transportation for patients to and from the facility in a safe manner. Get lunch from the cafeteria and provide to patients, as assigned. Communication of patient care issues to transportation supervisor. Schedule: Per diem / availability between 10 AM - 4 PM on weekdays. Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Licensure: Valid Class B or A driver's license, passenger endorsement, and current medical examination required. Additional requirements: Must be 21 years or older and have and maintain a good driving record as obtained from the Department of Motor Vehicles. CPR certification required. Handle with Care and verbal de-escalation training within 90 days of employment. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
