Overview:
The
Forklift Operator
is responsible for safely and efficiently operating
stand-up forklifts with box clamp attachments
to move, stack, relocate, and count merchandise. This role requires prior experience using clamp equipment. In addition to forklift duties, the Operator may assist with order selection, checking, and other warehouse tasks as needed. Available Shift:
Monday Friday, 6:00PM to 2:30AM Responsibilities: Unload inbound shipments and transport product to proper storage locations
Pull, stage, and prepare products for shipment to meet customer service standards
Ensure accurate product counts and proper loading of shipments
Perform efficient picking duties, moving product from storage and staging areas into trailers
Operate all equipment following established safety guidelines and work methods
Maintain accurate records and reports to support inventory control and security
Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts; ensure proper stock rotation
Identify and report inventory discrepancies to the inventory control team
Perform and document equipment inspections prior to use
Use RF scanning equipment to ensure inventory accuracy
Report safety concerns promptly to management
General computer knowledge required, including Excel
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED preferred
Minimum of 6 months recent experience operating a stand-up forklift with box clamp attachment in a warehouse/distribution setting
Ability to stand and walk 1012 hours per shift
Capable of lifting/pulling up to 50 lbs without restriction
Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching above shoulder and below waist level
Frequent walking in large facilities (over a quarter mile in length)
Ability to work in variable noise, lighting, and temperature conditions; must access all areas of the facility without limitation
Flexibility to work irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Must be able to obtain NFI forklift certification
Strong attention to detail, customer service focus, and basic math skills
