The Public Market Group’s (PMG’s) Research and Due Diligence Analyst within U.S. Bank’s Asset Management Group (AMG) is responsible for critical quantitative and qualitative analysis to support the hiring and retention of public fund products (e.g. traditional funds, liquid alts, and hedge funds) for U.S. Bank Wealth Management’s asset base of over $500B in client capital. This integral and highly visible role is key to our efforts to maintain a competitive approved platform of investment products and works closely with colleagues and senior leaders in manager due diligence, capital markets research, and portfolio construction. Key responsibilities include ongoing and ad hoc quantitative reporting and analysis across our approved platform, as well as on individual products; quality control to ensure that governance output is accurate; ongoing participation in qualitative analysis and interactions with the money managers to assess the philosophy, people, process, performance, and portfolios of the firm; and project management/logistical coordination of analysis and business initiatives to ensure that milestones are achieved. Work also includes interaction with portfolio managers to ensure they have appropriate information to meet their client needs as well as support of discretionary assets, where AMG builds portfolios on behalf of clients. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Statistics, or related field - Zero to two years of investments or markets experience

Preferred Skills/Experience - Base understanding of investment management technical and fundamental analysis - Solid knowledge and experience in quantitative analysis and decision modeling - Good familiarity with Excel and knowledge of (or demonstrated ability to utilize and learn) other databases and tools such as Morningstar Direct, FactSet, HFRI, and Bloomberg, knowledge of Python a bonus - General understanding of the economy and market conditions and the impact on investment styles and strategies - Self-motivated, with ability to work independently as well as contribute to a team - Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills - Progress toward Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, or equivalent credentials - Strong verbal and written communication skills Hybrid/flexible schedule: The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means an in-office expectation of 3 days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
