Sr. Division Order Analyst

This senior level position reviews and processes land documents in order to handle owner inquiries and discrepancies as well as process transfer of interest between third parties based on title documents. Review and analyze agreements, assignments, pooling orders, farmouts, AMI's, survey plats, payments, leases, contracts, ownership reports and various title documents Respond to owner inquiries (email, written, phone); research and resolution of ownership issues and interest discrepancies Maintain log of ownership transfers Prepare Division Orders and burden spreadsheets (includes analysis of agreements, poolings, AMI's, etc.) Perform calculations of owner interest, leasehold and unit interests, and review title curative Prepare burden spreadsheets, analyze title requirements, resolve decimal discrepancies, and cure title defects Interface with owners, partners, attorneys, Revenue & JIB Accounting, Owner Relations group, and purchasers in obtaining or providing data and/or explanations Prepare deal sheets and performs calculations of interest for all owners in new wells Resolve the more difficult owner and decimal discrepancies and authorize decimal revisions, suspense and release of suspense Calculate interests pertaining to workovers, recompletions and payouts and performs deck edits Perform other duties as assigned Advanced knowledge of oil and gas vocabulary as it pertains to division orders Advanced ability to read and understand non-standard legal descriptions for a tract of land and interpret land title information Advanced knowledge of oil and gas leases, deeds, and title curative documents Advanced knowledge of lease provisions and their implications to lease records Advanced knowledge of the different types of special obligations and payments Proficient math skills and ability to perform non-standard division order calculations Minimum: High school diploma or GED Preferred: Bachelor's degree - from accredited university Minimum: 5 - 8 years related work experience
