Starting Pay:
$30.49/hour (91% of union scale) Top Scale Pay:
$33.49/hour after 692 hours worked Stable 40-hour workweek
with overtime opportunities Key Responsibilities
Operate an
Automated Side Loader (ASL) garbage truck
on assigned local routes Follow route sheets and dispatcher instructions to ensure timely and efficient service Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections Operate hydraulic and joystick controls to lift and empty containers Perform physically demanding tasks, including occasional manual collection Interact professionally with customers and represent the company in a courteous manner Comply with all safety protocols and company procedures Perform other related duties as assigned Working Conditions
Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of objects over 50 lbs Exposure to outdoor weather conditions (rain, heat, cold) Work around moving mechanical parts, fumes, and moderate noise levels Must adhere to all safety standards and wear appropriate PPE Minimum Qualifications
Valid
Class A or B Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
with air brake endorsement Minimum of
2 years of commercial driving experience Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English High school diploma or equivalent preferred Basic knowledge of truck components and inspection procedures This is a
