BW Papersystems is looking for a hands-on mechanical assembler role. The role involves mechanical assembly of complex machinery to precise specifications, with responsibilities including troubleshooting, quality assurance, and mentoring junior team members. Key Responsibilities: Assemble complex machinery using blueprints, specifications, and instructions. Perform precision assembly involving gear trains, rotating shafts, sprockets, etc., to exacting tolerances. Use measurement tools to ensure alignment, level, and run-out. Assist in machine testing and problem-solving (including root-cause analysis). Document work to ensure quality and production compliance. Collaborate with other teams to correct issues and suggest design improvements. Train less experienced workers and help develop standard work procedures. Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to all safety protocols. Required Skills & Competencies: Proficient in reading blueprints and mechanical specifications. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and assembly practices. Skilled in using hand and power tools. Effective problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills. Adaptable, organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks. Education and Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. 4+ years of mechanical, automotive, or assembly experience preferred.
