JOB SUMMARY:
All Harrah's Team Members are expected to deliver truly great service and to create a warm and friendly atmosphere for our guests. Team Members must work well as a team, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to company policies and gaming regulations. For Bartenders, here are specific details.
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide fast, friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests Prepare beverages as ordered Build relationships with guests Keep the bar area clean and the workstation stocked in accordance with established health and safety guidelines Operate a cash register/POS system, ring the proper amount into the register, and give a guest or server the correct change; accounts for all cash, charge, and complimentary sales according to established procedure; maintains integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene as needed according to guidelines Follow the guidelines of the EBCI liquor laws as defined by the Tribal ABC Commission and/or the NC ABC Commission Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision, and Values
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or GED is required One year of customer service experience is required Six months of experience as a bartender at a full-service bar is preferred Completion of a documented training program is preferred RASP certification is required* ServSafe certification is required**
*Can be completed within 30 days of the hire date
**Can be completed within 90 days of the hire date
Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills: Excellent interpersonal skills Knowledge of beverage operations Willing to learn and be adaptable Attention to detail/observant Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Must be able to attend to multiple priorities simultaneously Must be able to lift 50 pounds Must be able to maneuver and tap a keg weighing 165 pounds Must be able to be on feet for an 8-hour shift Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grasp Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality, including secondhand smoke Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
