Lead Host
The Lead Host is the first and last point of contact for guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. In this leadership role, you will oversee the host team, manage reservations and guest flow, and ensure that all guests are greeted warmly and seated efficiently. You will be a key liaison between the front and back of house, maintaining smooth communication and a professional, welcoming atmosphere that reflects our upscale yet family-friendly environment. Key Responsibilities Warmly greet guests upon arrival with professionalism and genuine hospitality. Manage reservations, waitlists, and walk-in seating using [reservation system name, e.g., Resy]. Direct and support the host team to ensure seamless seating and optimal table rotation. Communicate guest needs, special occasions, and table requests to servers and managers. Maintain an organized, clean, and inviting host stand and entrance area. Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to management when necessary. Oversee and train host staff on service standards, guest interaction, and reservation systems. Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to manage seating pace during peak times. Monitor dining room flow to balance guest experience with operational efficiency. Assist with opening and closing duties for the host team. Represent the restaurant's brand and uphold its commitment to providing a warm, upscale, and family-friendly atmosphere. Qualifications Previous hosting experience required; leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining composure. Proficiency in restaurant reservation and POS systems a plus. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Frequent walking, reaching, and light lifting (up to 25 lbs).
