Material Handler
Loads and unloads materials within a warehouse or storage facility using hand trucks, forklifts, or other equipment to move items from trucks and around the facility. Records material and product flow information as needed. Understands standard procedures for operating a forklift. Operates a powered forklift with lifting devices to lift, stack, or transport products, equipment, or materials according to warehouse layouts. Controls the forklift by moving levers and pressing pedals to operate the lifting mechanism. Unloads and stacks materials by raising and lowering the lifting device. Weighs, tags, or labels finished products for shipment or storage. Uses measuring tools to locate specific materials. Performs manual stacking and unloading from incoming trailers and production areas. Assists with semi-annual physical inventory counts. Conducts daily safety inspections and reports repair needs to the supervisor. May perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor when not operating the forklift. Job Responsibilities
Unload trucks carefully, placing products in designated storage areas without damaging the items or their packaging Maintain a steady pace to ensure continuous container unloading. Collaborate as a team member, offering assistance whenever not engaged in unloading. Follow instructions promptly and complete tasks independently with minimal supervision. Job Requirements
Minimum of six months of continuous experience operating a forklift Basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Ability to read and identify similarities and differences in words and number sequences Capable of writing simple sentences, numbers, names, and addresses. Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory. Essential Job Function
