January 2026 Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will:

Teach three (3) or four (4) courses per semester, depending on rank. Teaching assignments will include a variety of education administration courses, such as principal, supervisor of instruction, director of pupil personnel, and/or superintendent content, teacher leadership, teacher education, community leadership, and related courses. Maintain an advising caseload of graduate students Collaborate with local school districts and community agencies Be actively involved in departmental, college, and university committees Serve on doctoral student dissertation committees

Candidates with a successfully completed doctorate degree will also engage in professional research and scholarly activities consistent with the requirement for tenure and promotion and pursue involvement in appropriate professional organizations at the national, regional, and/or state levels. Minimum Education Requirements:

Masters degree in Education Administration, Educational Leadership or a related field is required. A doctoral degree in Education Administration, Education Leadership or related field is highly preferred. ABDs with a documented plan of completion by appointment date will be considered. Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:

Experience as an administrator in K-12 public schools is required. Experience related to meeting the academic or professional development needs of graduate students or public school teachers is required. Preferred Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

Experience teaching graduate courses in educational administration, teacher leadership or a related field is preferred. Experience as a K-12 public school administrator is preferred. Knowledge regarding Kentucky educational laws and policies is also preferred.

Note: If the successful candidate is masters prepared, the position will be filled as a non-tenure track, instructor. If the successful candidate holds a terminal degree appropriate for the position, the position will be filled as a tenure-track, assistant professor. Annual Salary:

$41,296 Instructor/$52,616 Assistant Professor (Additional pay dependent upon qualifications) Pay Plan:
