The Graduate Providence is a landmark hotel located in the heart of downtown Providence, Rhode Island. The Banquet Coat Check Attendant is responsible for the timely collection, storage, and distribution of coats, jackets, and outerwear for guests attending Banquet & Catering functions at the hotel. This is a part time, seasonal position for fall, winter, and early spring months. Responsibilities
Collect, properly store/hang, and return coats, jackets, and outerwear to guests attending functions at the hotel. Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees. Be attentive of guests' needs and assist in providing a pleasant experience. Be knowledgeable of event location, timing, and details from the Banquet Event Order. Communicate effectively and courteously, both over the telephone and in person. Ensure overall guest satisfaction. Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent and/or related experience in a hotel or a related field preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have a hospitable / guest service demeanor. Must have availability to work nights and weekends. Flexible and long hours sometimes required. Light work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Ability to stand during entire shift.
