Determines proper method of loading, lifting, positioning, securing, and unloading materiel; operates rider-type lift trucks, tugs and aircraft moving tractors; moves high cost and relatively unprotected items such as major assemblies, jigs and fixtures, dies, and machinery from one location to another; moves completed aircraft during final assembly and flight line operations. Ability to obtain and maintain Company licenses, certifications, and training as required for assigned tasks. Assists with crane movement and may operate overhead crane and rigs for non-critical moves. Handles necessary paperwork, reconciles load with same, and reports discrepancies to proper personnel. Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure safe operations. Ensures all materiel, assemblies, and items to be moved are properly loaded and secured to ensure safe movement. Must be able to work any shift and any work schedule. Aircraft towing experience. SAP knowledge. Familiar with crane rigging principals. Basic computer application knowledge. FOD policy awareness. Daily equipment pre-inspection documentation knowledge. Active flightline experience. Hazardous material handling experience. Lockheed Martin is an equal opportunity employer. The base range for this position in California is $22.87 - $35.47.
