Material Handler
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Material Handler to manage and process materials in a GMP food manufacturing environment. The role involves handling liquids and powders, utilizing computer systems, and operating forklifts to move products efficiently around the production floor. Responsibilities: Use computer systems and manage related documentation. Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Fill liquids and powders into tanks, ensuring accurate measurements according to the formula. Operate scales to ensure precise measurements of liquids. Select appropriate tanks based on manufacturing requirements and batch sizes. Pick required raw materials from the warehouse and ensure accuracy using barcode scanners. Stage raw materials and add them to tanks as per work order instructions. Fill and pack orders according to sales orders, ensuring accurate weight and label specifications. Follow GMP and safety guidelines and procedures. Operate forklifts to move products and materials. Cross-train and assist in different departments as needed. Essential Skills: Experience in material handling and operating forklifts (stand-up and sit-down). Knowledge of ERP and handheld barcode scanners. Ability to lift 50 lbs. and operate in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Experience in compounding, blending, or batching in a food or GMP environment. Attention to detail in reviewing batch records. Comfortable with GMP requirements, including wearing full beard net and hair net. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience in a warehouse setting or logistics. Safety training, including forklift safety and lock-out procedures. Respirator protection and GMP training.
