Summary of Responsibilities
Reporting to the Banquet Manager, the Banquet Houseperson is responsible for the total meeting/function room set-up and cleanliness. Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service Set assigned room according to guest specs or diagram provided Break-down room after meeting/conference is over Put all supplies, materials, linens etc in the correct place after breaking down the room Set writing pads, mints, water, etc. according to Fairmont standards Ensure that the carpet is free of debris and soiled spots Ensure linens are spotless and wrinkle-free Ensure chairs are clean and set according to specs Ensure all surfaces are dust free, including walls, pictures, paintings, shelves, window, furniture, closets, borders, etc. Ensure all glass and mirror surfaces are clean and free from streaks Ensure plants are placed appropriately and discard old flowers Complete other duties as assigned Whats in it for you?

Previous Banquet/Houseperson experience preferred Excellent verbal communication skills While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and/or walk The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds High energy level; friendly; outgoing; team player, good organizational skills; salesmanship Physical Aspects of Position
Constant standing and walking throughout shift Constant lifting, occasionally up to 40 lbs Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps Our Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion
