Seeking an Electromechanical Inspector (Part-time, 2-3 days/week) in Beaverton, Oregon for an ongoing contract opportunity.
Responsibilities
Travel to the customer/supplier facility to perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and/or sub-assemblies. Inspect parts according to engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, industry standards, and specifications. Report inspection accept/reject information directly to the customer. Qualifications
Requirements: Experience performing in-process and final inspections on machined parts, assemblies, and/or sub-assemblies. Inspections performed to engineering requirements specified per ANSI Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) or equivalent standard. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and purchase orders. Experience with First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with the AS9102 standard and knowledge of industry standards. Inspection scope includes machined parts, commodities, and electrical components (e.g., cables, harnesses). Minimum of five years' experience in aerospace or military/defense manufacturing inspections, proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. Relocation is not available. Technically savvy with internet use and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
