You will oversee swim lessons, lifeguards, aquatic fitness classes, and safety measures to ensure every participant has a great experience. What Youll Do
Oversee Aquatic Programs & Activities Manage swim lessons, aquatics schedules, and aquatic fitness programs to create an engaging and safe experience. Ensure Pool Safety & Compliance Monitor lifeguards, maintain safety protocols, and ensure compliance with YMCA and local regulations. Support & Train Staff Lead and mentor lifeguards and swim instructors, ensuring they are prepared and confident. Engage with Members & Families Communicate with parents, participants, and community members to promote programs and answer questions. Maintain Equipment & Facility Standards Ensure minor pool maintenance is completed, maintain facility cleanliness, and manage compliance logs and reporting. What Were Looking For
Passion for Aquatics & Leadership Experience in aquatics programming, coaching, or lifeguard management is a plus. Energetic & Organized Leader Ability to juggle schedules, coordinate teams, and create an outstanding aquatic experience. Strong Communication & Relationship-Building Skills Work effectively with lifeguards, instructors, members, and community partners. Experience in Program Administration Background in recreation management, youth development, or aquatic programming preferred. Certifications & Requirements
Two (2) or more years of lifeguarding experience Ability to work afternoons, evenings and Saturdays Willingness to obtain YMCA Lifeguard Certification Willingness to obtain BLS for professional Rescuer Certification Willingness to obtain Oxygen Administration Certification Ability to Pass Swim Test Minimum 21 years old Must pass E-Verify check (for more information: https://www.e-verify.gov/employees/e-verify-overview) Benefits
