Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests Set tables according to service standards Answer questions on menu selections for guests Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, recooking orders, and product availability Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen Record transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverage Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glassware, etc., throughout the day Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights and fire pit, and locking all doors Present accurate checks to guests and process payments Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company and FORBES standards Run food and bus tables when time allows Anticipate and address guests' service needs Speak with others using clear and professional language Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance Thank guests with genuine appreciation Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors Additional Duties & Responsibilities: Adhere to departmental policies and procedures Effectively communicate with peers, management, and front-of-house employees Practice effective listening: seek to understand Perform related duties as required Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area and the general property Subscribe to proper grooming, dress, and uniform standards as set forth by company policy Be courteous to all guests and coworkers Maintain behavior consistent with sexual harassment/hostile work environment policy as dictated in the Employee Handbook Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers, non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware, and garnishes at Terranea Qualifications
Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivational individual Must be able to speak, comprehend, read, and write in English Strong communication skills Ability to implement and uphold service standards Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the resort Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations Must be able to stand or walk for long periods Experience, Education, & Licensure: Minimum 2 years in fine dining Hotel experience preferred High School diploma preferred At least 2 years of bartending experience, in addition to knowledge of French/Californian cuisine Compensation Base Pay Start Rate: $16.50/Hr. + Tips!
