We have two locations in Waikiki and one at The Kahala Hotel. We're looking for energetic and detail-oriented Food Runners/Expos to ensure dishes are delivered quickly, accurately, and beautifully presented to our guests. This role is a vital link between the kitchen and the dining room, helping us maintain the high service standards our guests expect. We are hiring for both lunch and dinner shifts weekend availability is a plus! Responsibilities Deliver food to guests promptly and accurately, ensuring correct presentation Communicate clearly with kitchen and service staff to coordinate orders Assist with garnishing or final plating touches before food leaves the kitchen Confirm that orders are complete and meet quality standards before delivery Maintain cleanliness and organization in the expo and service areas Assist servers with refilling beverages, bread service, and clearing plates as needed Provide quick responses to guest requests or questions via the server team Support the overall flow of service during busy periods Qualifications Positive, professional, and guest-focused attitude Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Previous food runner or restaurant experience preferred, but not required training provided Flexible availability for lunch and dinner shifts (weekends a plus) Bilingual Japanese/English a plus passing a linguist test may result in higher pay What We Offer Competitive hourly wage + tips Health insurance benefits Flexible scheduling with HotSchedules Paid training and opportunities for growth Fun and supportive team environment Be the vital connection between our kitchen and dining room apply today!
