Executive Chef
Llanerch Country Club is seeking an accomplished Executive Chef to lead our culinary operations. Founded in 1901, Llanerch Country Club is a premier private club in the Philadelphia suburbs, known for its championship golf course, vibrant racquets program, and year-round member events. The Club offers multiple indoor and outdoor dining venues and private event spaces.
The Executive Chef is responsible for all culinary operations at Llanerch Country Club, including the Main Dining Room, casual dining outlets, banquet facilities, and seasonal venues. This position is a visible and engaging leader who fosters strong relationships with members, guests, and staff while upholding the Club’s commitment to hospitality.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
The Executive Chef will lead a talented kitchen team, create innovative seasonal menus, ensure flawless event execution, and maintain the highest standards of food quality for a la carte dining at all venues.
Primary Responsibilities of the Executive Chef include:
Culinary Leadership & Creativity
- Design and execute seasonal, member-focused menus across all dining venues and events.
- Create signature dishes that reflect both current culinary trends and the Club’s traditions.
- Hire, lead and manage a team of high-quality kitchen staff to exceed member expectations
- Ensure seamless communication between the kitchen, banquet, and service teams.
Financial Oversight
- Maintain food and labor costs within approved budgets.
- Source the highest quality ingredients while building strong vendor relationships.
- Implement cost control measures and inventory management systems.
Sanitation & Safety
- Establish and maintain training procedures to ensure quality and consistency in all facets of the culinary operation.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for food preparation, storage, and presentation.
Member Engagement
- Maintain a visible presence during peak dining times and special events.
- Solicit feedback from members to guide menu development and dining enhancements.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 5–7 years of executive chef or senior sous chef experience in a high-end private club, luxury hotel, or upscale restaurant.
- 5+ years in a managerial role.
- Culinary degree from an accredited institution preferred.
- Proven track record in menu innovation, banquet service, and cost management.
- SERV Safe certification or equivalent food safety credentials.
