- Café Sabarsky is a New York City dining institution at the NEUE GALERIE located on 86th and 5th
- We are an Upscale Viennese Café House / Restaurant and serve authentic High end Austrian and German Food including our Award winning Pastry Program. The menu is designed and executed by German Born Michelin Starred Executive Chef Christopher Engel and includes all iconic dishes of his heritage such as Schnitzel, Goulash, Strudels and cakes.
- We are looking for additions to our team and hiring a PASTRY Chef.
Responsibilities:
- Sourcing ordering and receiving the highest quality ingredients
- maintaining all recipes and techniques
- Overseeing and maintaining a smooth professional Pastry production
- Maintaining all kitchen equipment and following up for any repairs needed
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization and NYC DOH code
- Managing and producing all bulk preparations for the restaurant and events
- Working close with the Executive Pastry Chef and General manager
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a managing capacity
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a quality-driven, high volume kitchen
- Team-orientated and positive attitude
- Strong communication skills a must
- Proficiency in verbal Spanish language a plus
- Experience in German \ Austrian Pastry a must
