Coast Range Restaurant is seeking a dynamic, experienced General Manager to lead our restaurant and uphold the standard of excellence that has made us a Central Coast culinary landmark.
As GM, you’ll be the driving force behind a team that delivers top-tier hospitality and executes with precision in a high-volume, high-expectation environment. You’ll set the tone, shape the culture, and ensure every service reflects the quality and warmth Coast Range is known for.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar
- Lead, train, and motivate a high-performing front-of-house team
Manage scheduling, labor costs, and floor coverage with efficiency, for the entire restaurant - Collaborate with Ownership, Executive Chef Steven Fretz, Finance, and bar team to execute goals, including service, culinary, budgetary
- Resolve guest issues with professionalism, urgency, and a hospitality-first mindset
- Maintain a sharp eye on cleanliness, organization, and compliance (ABC, Health Dept., OSHA)
- Monitor and report on financials, including daily sales, cost control, inventory and P&L performance
- Participate in HR protocols, leadership training and employee management
- Uphold and evolve the guest experience — from the greeting to the last pour
Who You Are:
- A seasoned hospitality leader with at least two years of GM or AGM experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant
- Someone who leads from the floor, not the office — hands-on, visible, respected
- A confident decision-maker who can stay calm under pressure and inspire the same in others
- Experienced in POS systems, inventory control, scheduling, and financial reporting
- Passionate about great food, premium cocktails, wine, and exceptional service
- Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic environment
- Knowledge of wine, including new world and old world, and local wineries, preferred
- Experience in bartending and cocktail design, preferred
Requirements:
- Proven leadership experience in restaurant management
- Strong knowledge of California labor laws, food safety, and ABC regulations
- Food Handler’s Certificate and Responsible Beverage Server (RBS) certifications
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Background check
- Ability to commute or relocate to Solvang, CA
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Competitive salary based on experience + bonus potential. $85,000 to $105,000.
