About The Position Barton is seeking a Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Physician Assistant for a 30-day locum tenens assignment in Texas. This opportunity starts as early as Dec 8, 2025, and covers day and evening shifts with a mix of weekdays and weekends in a PICU setting. The role involves managing post-operative pediatric patients and requires experience in pediatric cardiology and critical care procedures.
Job Details Location : Texas Start Date : Dec 8, 2025 LOA : 30 days Provider Type Needed:
Physician Assistant -Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Schedule : Monday–Friday 7am–8pm, weekends 8am–9pm; 8–14 shifts per 4-week block; must be available for days, nights, and weekends Responsibilities and Duties Provide medical care for pediatric patients in the cardiac intensive care unit (CICU) Manage post-operative cardiothoracic cases Perform procedures including arterial, central venous, and chest tube placement, endotracheal intubation, lumbar puncture, and needle thoracentesis Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes Document care and procedures using Epic EMR Additional Information One year of pediatric cardiology experience required; post-operative cardiothoracic experience preferred Experience with advanced critical care procedures desired Must hold a valid Texas license Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
