Airswift is exclusively partnering with a global IPP that builds and operate clean energy projects that provide energy for the grid. This position will have the opportunity to get in on the ground floor as the company enters an explosive growth period in the US market to support the development and execution of the company’s project finance and capital markets strategy.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain bespoke structured financing models that accurately reflect the terms of various financing vehicles and take responsibility over content and output of the model.
- Provide guidance and quality control so that the model adequately and accurately reflects the underlying transaction, current/forecasted market conditions, optimized business objectives, and best practice.
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to optimize project structures and configurations based on real-world feedback.
- Support financing efforts for raising tax equity, debt, and preferred equity for solar and storage assets, emphasizing financial analysis, modeling, and due diligence.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure forecasted budget is reflected in the model.
- Assist in the preparation of project finance proposals, investment memoranda, and investor presentations.
- Research, analyze and stay informed on industry trends, regulatory frameworks, industry developments, and emerging structures in project finance.
Qualifications
- Proven analytical and financial modeling skills related to the renewable energy sector within various types of investments (debt, tax equity, construction).
- Excellent modelling skills and thorough familiarity with complex spreadsheet-based financial models.
- Familiarity with renewable energy project economics, incentives, tax credits, and energy markets.
- Solid writing and verbal communication skills.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics or a related technical field with relevant experience in finance.
- Proven experience in structured finance, ideally within the renewable energy sector.
- Direct experience with solar and energy storage systems is preferred.
- At least 3 years of structured finance and modeling experience.
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook and learn new systems and tools rapidly.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
