Physician - Academics - Program Director-General Surgery

Bayhealth Medical Center is seeking an experienced surgeon with academic background to serve as the Program Director of our General Surgery Residency Program. We also offer residency programs in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, and Internal Medicine. We recently matched for our inaugural gastroenterology fellowship; our hem/onc fellowship is in its second year, with plans to add another fellowship next year. The successful candidate will lead the General Surgery Residency Program and join a hospital-based group of general surgeons in Dover. Bayhealth Kent Campus is currently upgrading from a Level III to a Level II Trauma Center. The role includes general surgery duties, trauma call, and opportunities to develop special interests. Our ED at Kent handles over 53,000 visits annually. The hospital also has Neurosurgery, CT Surgery, Interventional Cardiology, and Radiology staff. Why Bayhealth?
