Job Description
Join a leading provider of RF technologies as a Software Engineer, where you will work closely with software and hardware teams to develop code and documentation to support system control and monitoring of innovative products and systems. Responsibilities

Develop software solutions by collaborating with users, studying system flow, data usage, and work processes, and utilizing the software development lifecycle.

Evaluate operational feasibility by analyzing problem definitions, requirements, and proposed solutions.

Document and demonstrate solutions through developing flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.

Stay updated with state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment by participating in educational opportunities and professional organizations.

Support the organization by providing advice, coaching, and participating in product/system design reviews.

Essential Skills
-
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical discipline.

5+ years of experience as a software engineer with demonstrated success in developing a variety of software systems.

Experience developing control and monitoring applications using custom register interfaces and TCP protocols.
-
Proficiency in developing and troubleshooting complex software systems in mixed environments, including Linux, Unix, and Windows.

TCP/IP debugging with ICDs.

Experience with Linux, C/C++, TCP/IP networking, web development (JavaScript, Node.js, GTK+3.x), and lower-level communication protocols.

Active DoD issued Secret Clearance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with DSP, AJAX, SOAP, Ant, Servo motor tuning, PLC Ladder Diagrams, NTP, Subversion, Git.

Experience writing embedded/Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) globally distributed applications.

UI and human-computer interaction design using GLADE, React, Ignition, or similar.

Ability to modify, design, develop, and debug device drivers for I2C, SPI, UART, USB, PCIe, GPIO.

Proficiency in scripting tools like Python, BASH, Lua, CSH, Perl, TCL/TK.

Understanding of virtualization and simulation tools such as Git, SVN, Jira, Buildroot, OpenEmbedded.

Experience in automated tests and optimizing builds.

Ability to develop GUI and control systems for monitoring various systems.

Technical experience in electro-mechanics and robotics is advantageous.

Experience in broadcast, telecom, or mobile radio/cellular environments.
Work Environment
Work within a dynamic team of over 100 employees, with a third dedicated to engineering. The company produces high-power RF amplifiers and supplies transmitting equipment to Navy and NASA, among others. The role involves developing controls to manage transmitter operations, analyzing data from sensors, and providing feedback on transmitter performance. Employees must be eligible to obtain a secret clearance. The environment encourages autonomy and self-management, offering freedom from rigid structures. Engage in lab work, testing software and working on prototypes, with an emphasis on understanding the interaction between software and hardware.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
