Closing Date: until filled Tredyffrin/Easttown is seeking part-time School Cafeteria/General Kitchen Workers Mon-Fri., 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Summers, weekends and most holidays off. Position is eligible for uniform reimbursement and paid sick time (please click here to view the Tredyffrin/Easttown Non-Instructional Group Collective Bargaining Agreement for this position). $18.41 per hour following probationary period. Customer service experience preferred.

Performance responsibilities:
Reports to the Kitchen Manager for work assignment and/or instructions at the beginning of each working day or as necessary. Assists in the preparation and portioning of salads, sandwiches, dessert, beverages, butter, bread and rolls, using the proper recipes, and sanitation procedures (including gloves). Obtains food and equipment necessary to do assigned jobs and assists wherever requested by the Kitchen Manager. Helps place food (up to 20 pounds) in serving lines (up to 6 times per half-hour); makes sure that the tools for serving are in place. Checks that condiments, napkins, silverware, and dishes are in place. Checks dining room to ensure that everything is in readiness. Assists in serving and in being responsible for notifying the Kitchen Manager when additional foods must be prepared for the serving line. Makes sure that the kitchen and serving areas are as neat as possible during serving and keeps them that way in free moments when not serving. Performs clean-up duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager. These duties will vary according to the work-load or menu of the day, but will include helping with pots and pans, cleaning and sanitizing work tables, equipment and serving tables, and running the dish machine (that includes repeated lifting stretching and pulling) as assigned. Creates a positive pleasant atmosphere. Carries out other functions deemed necessary by Supervisor of Food and Nutrition Services and/or Kitchen Manager
