Cafeteria Worker Essex Elementary School

Summary: Responsible for supporting the School Cafeteria Manager and providing assistance in the operation and functions of the cafeteria in compliance with mandated USDA and health department requirements. 24.5 hours/week

Responsibilities Assist the Cafeteria Manager, as directed, to prepare and serve a daily menu. Assists in preparation and serving of food in a quick and pleasant manner. Assists in the daily set-up and breakdown of kitchen and service area. Adheres to all sanitation and health codes governing personal appearance and food handling, including duties related to proper storage of food, and use of equipment and supplies Assists in the receiving of food and supply deliveries. Carries out cashiering and related duties. Knowledge of and ability to order food items and supplies, etc.
